Pricing for frameless glass balustrades

For most glass balustrades, we use standard glass panels and hardware. This applies to balconies, landings and verandas.

Most of the time, the price range is $400 - $500 per meter, depending on the hardware type and finish, floor material and some other details. Balustrades for the stairs are more expensive due to the use of custom glass.

We supply and install many types of frameless glass balustrades for both indoor and outdoor use.

A deck with glass balustrade

Top mount spigots

Spigots (or mini-posts) made of stainless steel are the most common choice for areas where you need a gap between glass and the floor - pool zones, balconies, or verandas are good examples.

Spigots are available in different colors and designs. Polished, satin or black finish, round or square - whatever you like most.

Frameless glass balustrade for veranda.

Corner mount spigots

Spigots of this type are installed on the edge of the floor or balcony. They are fixed to the vertical surface.

Glass panels are also placed on the edge, so that all the floor space is available.

Balustrade with side mount spigots

Side mount spigots

These spigots are completely invisible from the inside - you only see the glass rising from the floor.

Just like corner mount spigots, side mount spigots help save floor space.

Standoffs

Another way to fix the glass to any vertical surface, like the edges of treads, floor slabs or walls.

When installed on the stairs, this type of balustrade does not steal the width of the steps.

As with all other hardware options, we offer many designs and finishes to fit your design.

Bottom channel for glass balustrades

Bottom channel

Glass is firmly fixed in the bottom channel which stands on the floor or is fixed to another structure. No bottom gap.

There are many types of bottom channels for different surfaces and loads.

Balustrade made of curved glass

Curved balustrades

Use of curved glass is possible with spigots or standoffs. Such balustrade follows the line of your balcony or stairs.

This type of balustrade requires precise measurements and installation. This is what we know how to do.

Custom engineered glass balustrade

Custom balustrades

Some balustrades simply don’t fit in any particular type. That does not mean they cannot be made.

Bigger size, non-rectangular glass, non-vertical posts - you get the idea.

If you want something outstanding, we can probably make it, if it is not against the laws of physics and Australian regulations.

Some balustrades require engineering approval - we can organize it.

Best answer is the sooner the better.

Sometimes it is very important to reinforce the place of installation, or install some hardware before you have finishing materials like tiles or decking boards installed.

It is much easier to do it when you are at early stages of renovation or construction.

We will provide you with all the necessary assistance and a robust work plan.

Handrail options

Handrails strengthen the balustrade and protect the glass, in addition to your comfort. The final design choice is yours - we have plenty of shapes and sizes.

  • Top mount handrail

Installed on the top edge of the glass. The options are: square 25x21mm, round 25mm, 38mm and 50mm. Every option comes in many finishes.

  • No handrail

Maximum transparency. Toughened laminated glass must be used in some cases.
